Contractor - Creating a Subcontract Proposal (7:01 min)
AFTER the Owner has taken funds from the Project's Build Wallet and put it into the SOV Line Item, only then is the Line Item actionable and the status bubble
changes from to . This is the ONLY WAY for a Contractor to engage a Subcontractor or Material Provider to provide goods or services for the project. The Owner must escrow the funds for the SOV Line Item BEFORE the Contractor can do anything.
Once the status bubble is updated, the button will become active and allow you to proceed with engaging a Subcontractor.
You will have 2 Options when you click the button.
1) Creating a Proposal = You (the Contractor) Know the details of what you want to issue to the Subcontractor. (i.e. Quantity, Units, Per Unit Cost, Days, etc.)
2) Request a Bid = You can describe the work to be done, and add photos/plans, but do not know the values or prices that go along with the scope being requested.
